Danica Patrick Calls Relationship With Aaron Rodgers ‘Emotionally Abusive’

Danica Patrick said her relationship with Aaron Rodgers was “emotionally abusive” and that he “leaves a trail of blood.”
On Wednesday’s episode of “The Sage Steele Show,” Steele asked the former professional race car driver about the most painful thing she had experienced. Patrick, who dated Rodgers from 2018 to 2020, said her breakup with the professional football player in 2020 was the most pain she had experienced because it was “sudden” and it was her whole life.

“The nature of the relationship was emotionally abusive, so that wore me down to nothing,” Patrick said. ”… Everything was torn to bits. He leaves a trail of blood. I don’t think I’m saying too much earth-shattering stuff. There’s been enough out there.”
She said it gave her the “greatest gift,” however.
“It gave me the greatest gift of how much I needed to show up for myself,” Patrick said, “and take care of myself.”
She said she ignored how emotionally abusive the relationship was when she was in it.
“I would say all the time, ‘I’m built for hard things. I can handle hard things,’” Patrick said. “And so I just saw it as a hard thing. And my nature is to try harder and do more and I was like, ‘What if I don’t do it for the right person?’”

She added that it was about “learning lessons” and “becoming who are you.”
Rodgers’ reps did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
In 2022, Rodgers said his relationship with Patrick was “great” for him
“I was dating Danica and that relationship was great for me because she is on her own journey and spirituality is important to her,” Rodgers said on the “Aubrey Marcus Podcast.”
″We both were finding our way, learning about different things [and] practicing meditation techniques,” he said.
