OOF: Fox News Host Laura Ingraham Delivers Painfully Awkward On-Air Mix-Up

Fox News host Laura Ingraham confused two different Black women during an awkward on-air moment Monday as she listed off officials who have taken part in the various legal proceedings against President-elect Donald Trump.

“History is going to remember Jack Smith and Alvin Bragg, Fani Willis and the judges who let these cases get as far as they did as modern-day Keystone Cops, who chased Trump around, hounding him, trying to keep him off the campaign trail because they hated his agenda,” she said on “The Ingraham Angle.” “They hate everything he stands for.”

Just one problem: The image did not include Willis, the district attorney prosecuting Trump in a Georgia election interference case. It did, however, show Letitia James, the attorney general of New York who filed a civil fraud suit against the Trump Organization. (Trump lost the case but is appealing the verdict.)

Fox News fixed the image for the version posted on YouTube.

Later in the show, Ingraham acknowledged the error, although she did not apologize.

“Earlier in the ‘Angle,’ we accidentally showed a graphic that had a photo of another vicious anti-Trump figure, Letitia James, when we were talking about Fani Willis,” she said. “So that was our mistake, but they both hate Trump.”

Fox News and Ingraham have a bit of a history of this. Earlier this year, the network featured a graphic that included Willis and was supposed to also include Nathan Wade, a prosecutor who resigned from the Fulton County election interference case.

Instead of Wade, however, the graphic used on Ingraham’s show had an image of a different Black man: Terrence Bradley, Wade’s former law partner and divorce attorney.

Ingraham apologized.

And in 2018, the right-wing network featured a graphic paying tribute to Aretha Franklin that included an image of another Black singer, Patti LaBelle.

Fox News apologized.

Ingraham’s critics sounded off on the latest error, with many not buying her excuse for the mix-up:
